The Schools Division of Toledo City, Cebu is one of the component divisions of the Department of Education Region VII (Central Visayas). It started as a District of the Schools Division of Cebu Province. In 1963 when Toledo became a city, it gained independence and stood as a separate division.
The DepEd Toledo City Division office is situated at D. Macapagal Highway, Poblacion, Toledo City, Cebu. It is currently managed by Dr. Joseph Irwin A. Lagura, Schools Division Superintendent, and Dr. Faustino N. Toradio, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent.
Presently, the Division is composed of fifty (50) public elementary schools and twelve (12) high schools. Aside from the basic offerings, the Division also offers Alternative Learning System (ALS) as flexible learning option and Special Curricular Programs, namely, Special Science Elementary School (SSES) Program, Special Program for Foreign Language (SPFL)– French, and Special Educational (SpEd).
The Division has a total of 1, 801 teaching and 181 non-teaching personnel as of January 31, 2023 all working together towards the achievement of the Vision, Mission, and Goals of the Department of Education.
